Her Parents Were Professionals So Her Early Life Was Very Cosby'S . Mr. Robinson Was An Architect And Her Mother Is A Social-Worker With A Msw Degree From Ny'S Columbia University. The Family Attended Cambria Heights Community Church Originally A Dutch Reformed Church. In The Family Work Faith And Education Were Life'S Priorities. Mrs. Terry Robinson-Watts Early Education Was A Combination Of Private Christian Schools And Public Education In The Gifted Programs. The Author Spent Three Years Of High School At Woodhull Prep School In Holliswood Queens Ny. The School'S Slogan Was Woodhull Prep School-The School Where Character Is Built. This Experience Had A Lasting Effect On Ms. Robinson'S Life And World View. She Remembers An Incredible Feeling Of Safety At Woodhull Prep. Safety Is A Great Catalyst For Learning. After Completing Her Junior Year At Woodhull Prep The High School Portion Of The School Closed. Terry Then Attended Andrew Jackson High School For 6 Months And Graduated From Her Abbreviated Senior Year At Age 16. She Then Entered York College In Jamaica Queens Ny At Age 16 Preferring To Stay Close To Home Because Of Her Age. After Several Years At York College Terry Became A Single Parent. It Was Her Intent To Become A Psychologist Not A Single Parent. However She Became A Mother To Her Only Child Her Beloved Daughter Darlene. This Is The Point Where Life Took A Detour And Struggles Ensued. The Struggles That Go Along With Being A Single Parent Broken Relationships And Hard Economic Times Etc. But Very Early God Began To Extend His Love To Terry. After A Series Of Life Changing Experiences She Became Radically Saved. Her First Job In Church Was Teaching Sunday School.
