Jewish mysticism in Dante Alighieri's works
English

About The Book

Here I will show that Dante Alighieri did not just limited himself to know and incorporate some concepts of it (for example divine wisdom mystical union divine will) on his works but he did also interact with intellectual circles interested in Neoplatonism Maimonides' ideasAbraham Abulafia's teachings and Jewish mysticism too. Such interactions took place in Bologna and in Verona where the aforementioned ideas and the Ecstatic Kabbalah were discussed with great interest from both Christians and Jews. Thus a demonstration of how Middle Age meant even cultural confrontations between these two religions.
