The crises of the twenty-first century bring John Locke''s thinking up to date as many of them were already the subject of his investigations. Issues of religion politics human rights education and the independence of peoples were experienced and analysed by him. Faced with these realities he invites the human race to militate in favour of the culture of tolerance in order to guarantee living together peace and the progress of humanity.
