<p>The aging owner of a successful humorously-named soap company takes a page out of Willy Wonka's book and sends his family members on a scavenger hunt competition to decide who will become his successor.</p><p>Jim Alexander Sr. an eccentric entrepreneur is the current head of Bubble Your Butt Soap Company. Cheekily named after the quip his mother used to say to him as a child Bubble Your Butt has seen massive success in recent years. The company's risque ads and satirical name-along with a shrewd marketing team-continually funnel revenue into the business.</p><p>However he's not intending to keep himself in the CEO position forever. For every decision he hits out of the park he fondly thinks of handing the business down to his son Jim Jr.-who couldn't think of a worse life sentence than becoming the CEO of Bubble Your Butt.</p><p>When Jim Sr. is diagnosed with Stage 3 Alzheimer's he knows he can't wait any longer. Ever the prankster Jim doesn't plan to simply hand the business over to a family member. Instead he creates a scavenger hunt competition where the winner will receive the business. </p><p>In reality Jim's deep-rooted purpose is to bring his family together and bury old grudges. As his time shortens Jim hopes that his competition will help the family he loves so much come together appreciate each other and discover the value of family unity.</p><p><em>Journey Back to Family</em> is a humorous novel filled with complex family dynamics meant to make readers laugh at and fall in love with the idiosyncratic cast of characters.
