Journey into Light

Take a journey around the world and to both Artic and Antarctic regions on a forty-foot Ketch by a lone sailor when the world was a simpler and saner place to live in. This is a story of visiting exotic places adventure and romance all viewed from the deck of a ship not by a travel writer or historian but through the eyes of a Tin Can sailor. It includes both the joy and hardships of trying to complete this odyssey. It is also a chronicle of what it is like to live on a Destroyer Escort and the shipmates that became lifelong friends in the time of the cold war and the beginning of Vietnam. It encompasses the protagonists view of the natural world and his philosophies about the future of the world we live in. Many of the actual events in it the Navy would probably like to forget.
