Beginning with odd jobs at the age of 12 he gradually delved into carpentry real estate and eventually Hollywood where he worked in various capacities in the movie industry for 15 years. After returning to Missouri he continued his writing endeavors alongside running a landscaping company with his brother until the latter's passing in 2017. Despite setbacks Hauk's passion for writing remains undiminished as he continues to explore new creative avenues including children's stories and autobiographies while maintaining an optimistic and altruistic outlook on life.
