Journeying With Peter

Peter was one of the twelve disciples chosen by Jesus. He left his life as a fisherman to follow Jesus and later travelled far and wide spreading the gospel. He is mentioned in all 4 Gospel accounts (one of which he may well have provided the source material for) features quite strongly in the book of Acts and also has 2 letters attributed to him. As such he is a key figure in the New Testament. His journey of faith is therefore well worth exploring as we have plenty of detail about it and he was a key figure for early Christians to emulate and learn from. As with other books in the Journeying With... series this book can be used for both personal and group devotional study. The questions and prayer suggestions cover a wide variety of areas and encourage deep reflection on our Christian faith in our everyday lives. By spending time with Peter's story we can also examine our own journey of faith make new discoveries and revitalise our interaction with Scripture.
