In Cameroon jurisprudence is an indirect source of law insofar as the judge's decision is subordinated to the respect of the law. However there are cases where the law is imprecise. And consequently it cannot regulate everything. It is therefore up to the judge to use his or her wisdom in order to state the law. Based on a principle of textual indeterminacy the judge gives an interpretation to the text of law awaiting meaning. This study is intended for law students practitioners and all those who are curious about the law.
