JUST A MATTER-OF RHYME

Marie Harris was born in Kentucky. Her family moved to Maryland when she was ten.The firstborn in a family of nine children. She started writing poetry at the youthful age of ten albeit her writing has definitely matured through the years. An avid reader she has always had a love affair with words. She has won numerous awards for her poetry and continues to challenge herself with writing daily. Writing gives her a sense of peace and joy. She hopes with her writing she will touch her readers in a positive way.Married for 61 years to her husband Donald. They have two beautiful daughters a grandson and a granddaughter. She has published four books of poetry. In addition she has been published in numerous anthologies.
