This book is uplifting and has delightful simplicity about it. Just a Simple Boy Just a Simple Story paints an accurate picture of what it is like growing up in the modern day western rural mountain towns that freckle the Rocky Mountain states. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate many of the main character's sentiments. (Especially if current circumstances often keep them from the great outdoors that they long for.) The book is written by a 17 year old boy who is intensely introspective analytical and quite critical. While this boy does have and writes about his Christian upbringing and beliefs there is so much more in this book that all audiences can enjoy and ponder. This book is a whole lot of thought (Those familiar with transcendentalist ideology and writers will appreciate this book's few references and allusions.) sprinkled with humor and enveloped in love of the simple things. This is a simply pleasant read. Enjoy!
