“KALAASHAASTRA“is a compilation of information collected from various sources and internet. In other words it is a systematic presentation of information from the birth of art on earth to new era evolution. In fact Art is a vast Chapter. I have made a modest attempt to compile and present “Kalaashaastra” for the students of Art Artists Art Critics Art admirers & Art Teachers. This book will definitely serve as a good referral material especially for artists and art students to understand different nuances related to art. It has been my endeavor to make the chapters brief precise and concise so that maximum information related to visual art are available within a short span of time. I dedicate this book to my father Late Bhabagrahi Dash who nurtured my pursuit of translating my art into paper & my mother Shrimati Kamini Dash for her unflinching support and encouragement. My heartfelt gratitude my Gurus Late PADMANAVA MISHRA and SHRI BHOLANATH NAYAK. The former laid my foundation whereas the latter is my role model and idol and is still a source of inspiration to me even now at the age of 86.
