Kalkstein

First published in 1951 as part of the Cambridge Plain Texts series this volume contains the complete text of Kalkstein a story by Austrian writer Adalbert Stifter (1805–68). The preface to Bunte Steine the collection from which Kalkstein was taken is also included. The material is presented in the original German with an editorial introduction in English. This book will be of value to anyone with an interest in Stifter and Austrian literature.
