But then I realized what that does to a child's curiosity it crushes it. In the young years of life asking questions and finding answers is the ultimate mission. We are a library-going family and have more books in our home than we can count! Something I noticed as we were doing reading time with our kids was there wasn't many households in the books that looked like the household my children are a part of. I noticed that there weren't many children in the books that looked like my children either. I remember when I was a child how excited I would be when I saw someone that looked like me in a tv show a book or a movie.
