KAP of Emergency Contraceptive among unmarried women in Debrebirhan

Globally it is estimated that over 40% of pregnancies are unplanned as the result of non-use of contraception ineffective contraceptive use or method failure. Unintended pregnancy and induced abortion can be prevented by expanding and improving family planning services and choices reaching out to communities and undeserved population groups Although EC is not recommended as routine family planning method it plays a vital role in preventing unwanted pregnancies after unplanned or unprotected sexual intercourse and would serve as a back up to other family planning methods.
