<p>The paths of life are never straight. Sometimes they scatter sometimes they turn&mdash;and at every turn life takes a new direction (a new 'Karvat').</p><p>Karvatein (Turns/Changes) is a collection of stories born at those very turns. Here women appear not as idealized figures but exactly like ordinary human beings&mdash;laughing breaking wandering recovering and standing up again.</p><p>In these stories some seek light some compromise with the darkness and some forge a new language within their own silence. Sometimes these journeys pass through the streets of India and sometimes through foreign lands but everywhere the same question echoes: Who am I and where do I begin my identity?</p><p>This collection compels you to walk alongside the characters&mdash;to see the world through their eyes hear the beat of their hearts and read the words hidden in their silences.</p><p>Karvatein is the testament to those very stories of life by reading which perhaps you might recognize a turn of your own.</p>
