Lal Ded preached the universal philosophy but expressed her thoughts in simple language of the people and garment-ed her ideas with similes drawn from daily experiences of life. She was a universal being and her thoughts were for all mankind and for all time. Her poetry is woven in poetic imagery from the fabric of the people's own idiom. She opens the windows of the soul into a limitless empyrean. The message of her time-that of the synthesis of Hindu and Islamic thought on the social and spiritual plane remains permanent. When the songs and wakhs of LALLA are still sung everywhere in Kashmir even today then Kashmiris have to ponder over the happenings which have taken place for the last thirty years in the valley and find a solution for themselves. Because Lal Ded has said All beliefs are thoughts about one Reality alone and that all modes of worship or devotion are expressive of that Reality.
