Ken Kaminski: Retrospective I gives the reader essential insights into an important figure in American abstract expressionism. Born in Chicago Kaminski studied at Bradley University and at the Otis Art Institute/Parsons School of Design in Los Angeles. He has exhibited in group and solo shows across the United States. Kaminski's work is both painterly and sculptural driven by urban and political sensibilities and by visions of nature. The book includes thirteen paintings including a diptych and two triptychs two concept sketches and three essays that guide readers through three periods of Kaminski's work. It includes a biography and a record of exhibitions.
