Kestrel

Kestrel is a girl who lives in a cabin in the Canadian woods with her mother. She has become traumatized after watching her father burn to death. Now speechless and in depression Kestrel searches the scattered shards of her forest world for something to make herself believe in life and love again. To her astonishment she finds and saves an injured kestrel the falcon that she is named after. This is the story of a girl a bird and their ever-lasting friendship the odds they face and the hardships they battle. But is Kestrel strong enough to handle all of their hardships?
