About the Book This book contains the factors that contribute in making a child ‘child in conflict with Law’ and a detailed procedure that is followed in the Juvenile Justice Boards as set up under Chapter III of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act2015 along with Judgments passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. This book also contains the suggestions from the Author for the better implementation of the Juvenile Justice Act. About the Author Annwesha Deb hails from a well-known Bengali family in Guwahati (Assam).She was born on 10th April 1987 in Guwahati and is the second-generation lawyer in her family after her father late Sh. Jasabanta Deb. She completed her degree in Law from Meerut University in the year 2011 and is practicing law since then. Being a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association Ms. Deb is practicing in the Supreme Court of India and has her practice in all other courts in Delhi. Apart from the courts in Delhi she has also worked in Guwahati High Court for some time. AWARENESS WORKSHOP: Annwesha Deb has addressed many legal awareness workshops on various topics such as Women-Related Laws Surrogacy POCSO Act 2012 and along with these Ms. Deb has also done career counseling amongst children studying in Delhi Government schools on the subject how to choose law as a career and addressed on various other subjects of law.PROFESSIONAL: Presently serving as Panel Advocate for Union of India in the Supreme Court of India. Served as Official Translator in the Supreme Court Legal Aid Services Committee. ORGANISATIONAL: She is a National Council Member of Akhil Bharatiya Adhivakta Parishad. She is the Joint Secretary of University Women’s Association of Delhi (U.W.A.D). Annwesha Deb is married and settled in New Delhi along with her family.
