It was published by Penguin India in the year 2014 and is available in hardcover and paperback. About the Author Khushwant Singh was born on the 2nd of February 1915 in Hadali British India. He was a lawyer journalist politician historian and novelist. Singh’s professional career started in 1938 with him practicing law. He was the recipient of a number of awards most notably the Padma Vibhushan awarded to him by the Government of India in 2007. The Padma Vibhushan is the second-highest award given to civilians in India. He has authored a number of novels short stories non-fiction works and plays. He died on the 20th of March 2014 at his residence in Delhi of natural causes. His death was mourned by the entire nation.
