Kidnapping and enforced disappearances in North Kivu (DRC)

About The Book

The Centre for Research on Environment Democracy and Human Rights CREDDHO in acronym in its twentieth year of existence (2018) has been striving since its inception to provide the communities benefiting from its activities with knowledge and practices that enable them to better understand the process of progressive promotion and defence of fundamental rights. For various reasons the phenomenon of abductions and enforced disappearances has increased considerably in recent years. For various reasons the scale of the problem has had both disastrous and unexpected consequences in the region. Awareness is important and results in a change of behaviour. And as with the phenomenon of kidnapping and enforced disappearance the stakeholders should start thinking seriously about how to contain it for more security growth and peace in the most affected regions. This is how the Centre proposes this tool whose content will therefore not go back over the totality of the cases it will not consist of a descriptive presentation of the statistics but more of an analysis of effects and causalities.
