Killing America

Our founders gave us a style of government that solved the problem of the form that survived the revolutionary war. The new style lasted virtually unchanged for over a century and during that time few expressed dismay at how government operated. The year 1913 witnessed a fundamental change in how our government functioned and it was this change that set the stage for today's low respect for our central government. It took a while; a major depression and two world wars would redefine America and started a long decline of the peoples affection for their government. But that could not have happened without the sixteenth amendment.
