Kingdom of the Sun

As ranger Danette Perez starts her second year at Zion National Park she records the ins and outs of life in the desert southwest. Under the scorching summer sun herds of bighorn sheep roam free twisted slot canyons beckon the brave and bats take wing under the glittering night sky. In this small corner of land visited by thousands of people a day the spirit of wilderness lives on in the immense walls of red sandstone and the smallest of lizards scampering by.
