Knowledge on Diabetes Mellitus and Its Hidden Burden

Diabetes mellitus is a major public health problem worldwide.However it is hidden burden in developing countries due to people's low level of knowledge about diabetes mellitus. This book addresses the knowledge and attitude about diabetes mellitus and its associated factors. This study revealed that 49% respondents have good knowledge and 39.5% respondents have good attitude about diabetes mellitus. Educational status family income and family history of diabetes mellitus were factors associated with knowledgewhile educational status was factors associated with attitude about diabetes mellitus. This book will give up to date information about the knowledge attitude its hidden burden diseases and prevention and control mechanism about diabetes mellitus for policy makers experts researchers and other partners in the health sector.
