<p>Djime Ibrahim Boigny à travers ce récit autobiographique basé sur son histoire et celle de son peuple nous plonge dans l'univers mythique de Mukulu du Guera au Tchad. L'auteur naquit dans le quartier de Pourou à Mukulu en 1937 et fut inscrit à l'école en 1955 à l'âge de 18 ans. Son père Youa Boigny un chasseur légendaire décéda alors qu'il avait quatre mois. Abrahim Boigny devint son père adoptif et c'est ainsi que commença son récit initiatique qui relate les origines des Mukulu ; la façon dont la naissance le mariage la mort et l'enterrement sont célébrés chez les Mukulu. Ce mémoire explore l'influence néfaste de la mission évangélique sur les traditions et rites du peuple Mukulu et retrace aussi son séjour à N'Djamena (1957) au Soudan (1964) au Kenya (1976) et aux Etats-Unis (1984)</p><p>Djime Ibrahim Boigny through this autobiographical account based on his story and that of his people immerses us in the mythical world of Mukulu du Guera in Chad. The author was born in the Pourou district of Mukulu in 1937 and enrolled in school in 1955 at the age of 18. His father Youa Boigny a legendary hunter died when he was four months old. Abrahim Boigny became his adoptive father and thus began his initiatory story which recounts the origins of the Mukulu; the way in which birth marriage death and burial are celebrated among the Mukulu. This memoir explores the harmful influence of the evangelical mission on the traditions and rites of the Mukulu people and also retraces his stay in N'Djamena (1957) Sudan (1964) Kenya (1976) and the United States (1984).</p><p></p>
