The Labor Contract Law of the People’s Republic of China was adopted on June 29 2007 and became effective on January 1 2008. It was revised by the top Chinese legislature on December 28 2012. The application of Labor Contract Law is extremely important. It is designed to develop a harmonious and stable labor relationship and promote the building of a harmonious socialist society in China. It also aims to provide better protection for the legal rights of Chinese workers.
