About The Book

This laboratory manual is designed to accompany a one-semester college course in Plant/Crop Physiology. Its purpose is to guide students through the step-by-step procedures used to study plant process and function. In the first exercise students will learn preparation the solution and some basics related to the same. At the same time this first exercise provide instruction to students how to use a pipette pH meter analytical balance centrifuge and spectrophotometer etc. The growth analysis and Water Potential” exercise provides students with basic knowledge of water relations in plants and how the growth occurs. In the further exercises students will investigate plant nutrition growth regulation and PGR’s and stomatal structure transpiration respiration and photosynthetic rate in plants Demonstration of Photoperiodism in crop plants Germination for oil seeds cereals and pulse nutritional deficiency symptoms in crops plats yield analysis of crop to obtain a better understanding of plant growth and development.
