Hal Lindsey just wanted a relaxing spring break on a Florida beach. Instead he spent it on a desperate struggle for survival. Opting to join his girlfriend and other university students on a caving expedition to a remote virtually unexplored cave in West Virginia he and the group are trapped in the bowels of the cave after a horrific confrontation with some moonshiners who are using it to hide their distillery. Pinning their hopes on an old unverified map of the interior the survivors face numerous perils: an underground river mudslides an impassible pit a maze of false leads and festering hostilities between them.
