Lagrangian analysis of bed-load particle motion

The book details scientific experiments in the field of hydraulics. Increasing attention has been put into the phenomenological aspects of sediment transport by the researchers. The motion of the solid phases is the result of movement of each grain of the loose bed. This research focused on the dynamics of different river bed configurations of sediment transport as well as tentative application of Particle Tracking Velocimetry for bed load particle motion as a perspective towards obtaining Lagrangian measurements of particle motion to support the development of probabilistic models for bed load transport in rivers.
