بلاد لا تشبه الأحلام-Lands That Does Not Resemble Dreams

من منطقة الجزيرة السوريّة، من طبيعتها الخاصّة وجبالها الجاثمة على الخرافة والسِحر كجبل سنجار، تنطلق هذه السيرة الذاتيّة بنفَسٍ روائيٍّ شاعريّ فريد، محاولةً إعادة إحياء تاريخٍ مهمَّشٍ للجزيرة، وراويةً حكاية أهل تلك المنطقة المغيّبة ثقافيًّا، ومضيئةً على شخوصها كالرعاة وشخصيّة اليزيدي الفذّة. وفي تناقضٍ ممتع، تنتقل نحو المدن في سوريا ولبنان وفلسطين، وفي أوروبا والعالم العربيّ، راصدةً ملامح اجتماعيّةً وثقافيّةً في تلك البلدان. <br>بالتنقّل بين القطارات والمطارات والمقاهي، ومن خلال اللقاءات بأناسٍ واستحضار بورتريهات شخصيّاتٍ سياسيّةٍ وفنّيةٍ كياسر عرفات ومحمود درويش.. يدوّن الكاتب شهادته على أحداث عاشها أو عايشها، مستعيدًا التاريخ السياسيّ للمنطقة، ومعرّجًا على الشيوعيّة والناصريّة والبعث وحرب الـ67 وانهيار الوَحدة بين سوريا ومصر.. في رؤية متكاملة لهذا التاريخ في الستينيّات والسبعينيّات. <br>وباعتماد التخييل الروائيّ، والانطلاق من الخاصّ إلى العامّ، ترتفع الرواية بالسرد إلى التوثيق لتاريخٍ ثقافيٍّ واجتماعيٍّ وسياسيّ. <br>في تجربة الكتابة هذه، التي تربط بين السيرة الذاتيّة والتاريخ الجماعيّ، فصولٌ لحكاية مسافرٍ اكتشف بعد رحلةٍ طويلة أنّ البلاد لا تشبه الأحلام. قد تكون أعلى قامة، أو على العكس، أقرب إلى الكوابيس. <br>From the Syrian Jazira region from its unique nature and mountains crouching over myth and magic like Mount Sinjar this autobiography launches with a unique poetic novelistic breath attempting to revive a marginalized history of the island narrating the story of the people of that culturally obscured region and illuminating its characters like shepherds and the remarkable Yazidi figure. In an enjoyable contrast it moves toward cities in Syria Lebanon Palestine Europe and the Arab world observing social and cultural features in those countries.<br>Moving between trains airports and cafes and through meetings with people and evoking portraits of political and artistic figures like Yasser Arafat and Mahmoud Darwish... the author records his testimony of events he lived or witnessed recalling the political history of the region touching on communism Nasserism Baathism the '67 war and the collapse of unity between Syria and Egypt... in an integrated vision of this history in the sixties and seventies.By adopting novelistic imagination and moving from the particular to the general the novel elevates the narrative to documentation of cultural social and political history.In this writing experience which links autobiography with collective history are chapters of a traveler's story who discovered after a long journey that countries don't resemble dreams. They may be taller or on the contrary closer to nightmares.
