Language and semiotic form

About The Book

The set of texts gathered here attempts to prove the Saussurian assertion that language is a form and not a substance. This assertion has allowed us to renew the conception of pragmatics which is now based on a form and not on a so-called performative verb or parenthetical verb. It is also a way to make the discipline acquire comprehensiveness. Next we present synecdoche as the essence of language based on the primacy of form. Following these two theoretical texts the rest are a practical application under the sign of seduction. The book is intended for students in the humanities.
