She is a teacher with a degree in Portuguese/English Language and Literature and an English Language Translator and Interpreter. She specialises in Portuguese Language Teaching Methodology and English Language Teaching as well as a Master's Degree in Languages Language and Literature. She has worked as a teacher in the final years of primary school secondary school and youth and adult education and as a trainer in the areas of Portuguese and English for the Campo Grande Municipal Department of Education and currently works as a copywriter.
