Larra's articles

In this paper we intend to analyze from an inductive methodology (from the particular to the general) some of the most significant articles of the author Mariano José de Larra the greatest exponent of romanticism in Spain and also a precursor of journalism.In this work and always from a diachronic approach we will first focus on Larra''s life and work and then we will carry out an analysis of some of his articles both political and literary in order to extrapolate his criticisms in them with the current reality of our country.It is therefore a study that navigates between philology and sociology since it is not only intended to comment on texts but also and very importantly try to see how already in the nineteenth century more specifically in the era of romanticism authors like Larra already anticipated facts that even today are still very topical.
