The use of lasers has been proposed as an adjunctive method for surgical periodontal therapy. The most important characteristic of the diode laser is the wavelength as wavelength determines how the laser light will interact with target tissue.Diode laser with wavelength between 655 nm and 980nm is able to accelerate wound healing promote angiogenesis augment growth factor release and prevent root surface ablation.
