Laser update in Periodontics

Several different lasers have been used in the field of Periodontology such as CO2 Nd: YAG ER: YAG Cr:YSGG etc. Soft tissue applications are well-documented and gaining acceptance. The laser thus opens a very promising path for the investigation that may ultimately lead not only to further control gingivitis but also revolutionary changes in clinical periodontics.
