Lasers in Paediatric Dentistry

With the introduction of newer diagnostic methods one can monitor the progression of disease and aid in decision making i.e. whether repair or restore the lesion. Lasers represent a quantum leap forward in the dental treatment of all patients especially the paediatric patients and have set a new standard of providing dental care. The use of lasers is an alternative method of providing effective dental treatment to infants children adolescents and individuals with special health care needs. In this book following detail of lasers such as its history mechanism of action properties interaction with tissue and various applications will be discussed.
