Lasers Physics

Prof. Albert Einstein’s concept on stimulated emission in 1918 became a reality in 1960 with the advent of masers and lasers. Subsequently scientific commu­nity found many applications of lasers in various fields of science. Although laser is a non-ionizing radiation its power and energy may cause severe injuries if it is used carelessly at operation theatres beauty par­lours and in our daily life. Hence laser knowledge is of utmost importance to those personnel who are in the medical as well as cosmetic profession. The present book has been prepared keeping these aspects in mind. Since laser is spreading in all walks of life we need laser personnel for hospi­tals and other places. At present we do not have much laser scientists laser engineers or laser specialists for our needs. We believe that this book will be helpful to know about lasers its role on tissues its applications and finally safety of lasers.
