Last Train to Machu Picchu

<p>A MIDDLE-AGED clinical social worker newly minted as a physician assistant volunteers as a medical missioner with a renowned progressive mission group. Freed of house and job her children grown she is determined to live her delayed dream of practicing medicine in a foreign country. </p><p></p><p>Bringing her typical anxiety and conscientious outlook to the endeavor in a village in the Andes Mountains of Peru she makes her way. But stepping outside of her life having all that is familiar fall away she finds herself confronting her relationship with God and struggling to find her true self. </p><p></p><p>Kept busy with patients and managing day-to-day challenges she is enormously helped and comforted by her fun irreverent downtown New York mission partner. </p><p></p><p>Hannah as Lucy wanted to share this adventure and the learning from it especially with her grown children but also with anyone eager to get below the surface of habit and complacency to life abundant. </p>
