Millions of dollars were flooding into Floridas economy in the Roaring Twenties. By 1925 real estate transactions were taking place faster than county clerks could record them. Land sales had virtually eclipsed tourism and farming as the states source of astounding economic growth. It was no different from other frenetic manias - the people who jumped in early and got out early were the winners. Those late to the game were the dreamers.
