After an exposure to highly appreciable works of exegesis it was found that in the analysis of 1 Samuel 2:22-30 several works focus on the bad behavior of Hophni and Phinehas thus trying to repress some inappropriate behaviors of the sons of God's servants in general. These analyses are appreciable though tendentious to our understanding. What if this pericope offered another view? It has been discovered that it is not only about the abuses of Eli's sons but also about their Father's ineptitude in the face of their actions. This pericope presents therefore two poles of offence against the Lord: the malice of Hophni and Phinehas as the primary pole in the destruction of their priestly service and in the misguidance of God's people and Eli's inaction in the face of his sons' actions as the secondary pole leading to the banishment of the Elides from the priesthood and the death of Eli's sons. Thus based on these consequences we want to bring any leader out of complicit silence and abuse of power by applying the law as required by the Constitution and the Bible in order to establish a society of balanced and healthy men and women.
