Lead uptake by Pseudomonas flourescens and aeruginosa in Sansevieria

About The Book

In the present study we aimed to assess the phytoremediation capability of two endophytic pseudomonas bacteria isolated in a Pb/Zn mining area. Two symbiotic isolates were tested for Pb accumulation and their potential to promote plant root growth and their efficiency to up or downregulation of stress-related protein expression in Sansevieria roxburghiana an ornamental plant which doesn't impact food chain. This study provides the candidate plant in combination with Plant growth promoting bacteria for improving phytoremediation efficiency and removing heavy metal Pb from contaminated soil.
