Leadership Development Through Discipleship among the Orang Asli

About The Book

This demonstration of learning applying and teaching each other about the discipleship and apologetic skills taught and modeled in the practicum fulfills the Task Force leader’s definition of leadership. The Task Force and Trial Group members developed their relational bonds held each other accountable (covenantal aspect) for their learning and used the spiritual disciplines of worship and the study of Scriptures diligently by employing the Inductive Bible Study method. This process made them aware of their own culture and spirituality and enabled them to overcome their cultural aspect of self-censorship arising out of the cultural piece of ‘punan’ and were able to more intentionally and dynamically engage in the process. They did not just stay away from the practicum or passively did everything that was expected of them. They were able to disciple and lead their Trial Group members. They have not reached their destination (producing a discipleship module) but they are on the right path and their journey already mirrored some of the destination’s goals.
