Leading on the Basis of Trust

<p>Ever since Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit challenges with leadership have shaped our world. Over and over again broken self-serving people have assumed power and authority over their fellow human beings with disastrous results. Conflict war and suffering fill our history's pages right up to this present day. Few leaders if any apart from Jesus of Nazareth have ever left behind a spotless legacy of sacrificial leadership. Whether in our businesses the government our communities or our families we continue to see numerous examples of abandoned values betrayed trust exploitation manipulation and the loss of integrity. </p><p></p><p>Our world will always be in desperate need of a leadership role model that genuinely seeks the betterment of all society. We need a better way-a perfect leadership role model we can always count on and trust. We believe his name is Jesus and practicing his principles of serving leadership will set you up to lead love and serve to change the world.</p><p></p><p>In our first book <em>Becoming a Leader Worth Following</em> we introduced <em>The Serving Leadership Journey</em> with a primary focus on self-leadership. Before leading others we need to become leaders worth following. In this second book we are focusing on developing trusting relationships. Those who lead themselves well build a foundation of credibility creating an environment for strong leader-follower relationships.</p>
