Learning organization dimensions and Knowledge management pratices

Egypt is passing through a transitional phase that will demand new capabilities for Egyptian companies and institutions to compete with their foreign counterparts. The research examines the relationship between three constructs (knowledge managementlearning organizationperformance through the study of 165 organizations in eight sectors; four of which are from the manufacturing sector; the other four from the services sector. The study found out; that there exists a significant correlation between the dimensions of learning organization (DLO) and performance as exemplified by European excellence model also between knowledge management practices (KMP) and performance. Also there is a significant correlation between DLO and KMP. A nomological network was developed to validate the cause and effect relations between the three constructs (DLO KMP and performance)through the measurement of path coefficients the network proved that there is significant causality between knowledge enablers levers foundations as an independent(exogenous) variable and DLO on the people level and structural level as an intermediate variable(endogenous)and performance criteria.
