This volume is meant for undergraduate students studying Electronic Engineering either as a major or service course. It is written from experience acquired from teaching electronic engineering to University undergraduates for several years. It is believed that students would have taken the course “Introduction to Electrical/Electronic Engineering;” a first or second year engineering course before attempting to read this book. The B.Sc. syllabus for Electronic Engineering at about the third/fourth year levels is adequately covered. In order to carry students along worked examples have been presented at the end of most chapters. In some chapters as the need arises the examples are given right in the main discussions of the topic. It is believed that this will enable students grasp the subject of discussion immediately instead of waiting ''til the end of the chapter. Still in worked examples the last chapter of the book is devoted to worked examples. Several examples on electronic engineering generally have been solved in that chapter. These it is hoped will encourage students taking Electronic Engineering as a course.
