According to Sec 2(a) of Indian Environment Protection Act 1986 the term “Environment” includes water air and Land Human beings other living creatures plants Micro- organisms and property . According to the Encyclopaedia Britanica the term “ Environment “ means the entire range of external influence acting on an organism both the Physical and Biological and other organisms (ie) forces of nature surrounding an individual. The term “Ecology “is a study of organism in relation to their Environment . The Ecology is a Greek word which is a branch of Biology dealing with relation of Living organism to their surrounding their Habits modes of Life etc. Ecology is the study of Eco system to determine how they are organized how the creatures with in them interact and how total system functions
