This is an intriguing story of a family's journey to escape communism and emigrate to the United States. The setting is Northwestern China where many White Russian refugees had emigrated to. The memoir of Alice Moure describes how in late 1948 unrest and bloody massacres claimed the life of her father and forced her mom and her sister to flee China with a group of Christian White Russians to Shanghai then to the Philippines and eventually to the United States. It was a 3 year journey laced with danger and surprises prophecies and miracles.
