Shed habitually avoided looking out at the passing floors but Elenda was sure she would have noticed a mirror replacing the clear glass. A pale drawn reflection stared back at her. Elenda was horrified at the dark circles under her eyes and lines around her mouth. Her hair was even faded as if shed gone gray since leaving that morning. She reached toward her hair then froze.The woman in the mirror moved too.She didnt touch her hair and she certainly wasnt still and staring.Instead Elendas reflection covered her face with her hands. She seemed to be crying.Elenda backed against the wall whispering no over and over again. The reflection continued to sob.
