Legend of the Candy Bonnet

<P>As the candy maker's daughter announces her engagement to Nicholas her father makes her a beautiful candy bonnet to count down the days to her wedding. One piece of candy is to be eaten daily until all that is left are the ribbons and bows. The bonnet shall then be worn as she rehearses her wedding vows. Each day Anna opens the cedar chest where the bonnet is kept and eats one piec candy. When she opens the chest one day she discovers the bonnet is missing. With great sadness the engagement is called off. As the candy maker is so troubled by his daughter's sadness he stops making the candy and closes the shop.
