Lessons from my Father

Some moments in life leave a permanent imprint on our minds. The mind’s eye takes photos of those moments and the senses capture the taste sound smell and feel of something in those moments creating a 6D memory of them. And when those moments are in the company of one of the most special persons in your life then those imprints go even deeper and come together like pins on Google Maps creating a wonderful filigree.This book is that filigree a compilation of all the most touching loving funny and thought-provoking episodes that I enjoyed with my father and the profound yet practical lessons they left behind. Ones that have helped me find peace when I was disturbed clarity when I was confused confidence when I was defeated and motivation when I was deflated. I dedicate this book to my son. I hope that he also finds some solid rocks of wisdom and grows into an honest straightforward curious courageous and kind man just the way Dad was. I hope this book also reminds readers of the lessons they have learnt from their parents. For those who haven’t been fortunate enough to have their father as long as I did or those who have not enjoyed a happy relationship with their fathers through this book I want to share my dad with them.
